Kolby Finnie

I am an empathetic, culturally responsive therapist who believes therapy should feel genuine, collaborative, and grounded in who you are. I work with adults (18+) and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and the many challenges that come with simply being human. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2018 and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2024.

As a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor, I use a holistic, systemic, and strength-based approach, incorporating solution-focused interventions to help clients better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and work toward the changes they want to make. Therapy is an opportunity to better understand how your past or present experiences, relationships, and environment may be showing up in your life today. Together, we can explore those experiences, identify patterns, and consider what you want to do differently moving forward.

My goal as your therapist is to help you recognize your strengths, develop your potential, and build a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling to you. I believe we all have the capacity to grow, but that growth is easier when we have the right support and are able to care for ourselves along the way. Through our work together, I hope to help you better understand yourself, build resilience, practice self-compassion, and develop the skills and confidence you need to move toward the person you want to become. My role is to support you through that process while helping you identify and build on the strengths you already have.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my partner and family, restaurant hopping, gaming, reading, traveling, and playing basketball.
