Data shows minorities are widely underserved and underrepresented. Here at Tree of Life Counseling and Consulting we strive to fill the needs of the highly marginalized in the Acadiana area.

Individual Counseling

Our counselors provide individual counseling services to children, teens, and adults. We address a wide variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, life transition, multicultural issues, and LGBTQIA+ issues.

Play Therapy

Our Play Therapist provide counseling services to children (5+) through direct and non-directive play interventions. Play Therapy teaches children prosocial behaviors and emotional regulation skills.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is offered by our counselors trained in marriage and family therapy to improve communication, conflict resolution skills, and emotional intimacy within relationships.

We provide a safe and accepting space for the LGBTQIA+ community

LGBTQIA+ Support Group

We provide a safe and accepting space for the LGBTQIA+ community by hosting a support group for LGBTQIA+ folks. We understand the unique struggles and barriers of LGBTQIA+ folks. You are not alone.

Every Friday at 2pm
Cost: $40 per session
Ages 18-35

Consultation Services

Maria "Mica" Salazar Istre offers consultation for fellow private practice owners, organizations, and law enforcement. She has experience offering trainings and presentations on trauma recovery, diversity and inclusion, multiculturalism, and sexual abuse on a national, state, and local level. Mica provides guidance to other clinicians who are looking start a private practice or expand their practice. To learn more about consultation or education services and fees, please fill out the form below.
