Joy Norwood

I’m a compassionate and grounded counselor who is passionate about helping individuals navigate trauma, relationship challenges, anxiety, and depression. I believe healing happens in a supportive and collaborative space, and I strive to create an environment where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore your experiences.

My approach is integrative and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Somatic Therapy, Parts Work such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also incorporate somatic and parts-based approaches to support deeper healing and lasting change, helping you better understand yourself and your emotional patterns.

Whether you're working through past trauma, navigating relationship difficulties, or managing overwhelming emotions, I aim to meet you where you are. Together, we can build resilience, strengthen self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change and greater well-being.
